UConn’s bench is boosting the Huskies to new heights

As keen observers of last year’s national championship know, it takes the effort of a full squad to win the way Dan Hurley’s teams like to win. The 2023 bench, featuring Donovan Clingan, Nahiem Alleyne, and Joey Calcaterra, made sure UConn had too much firepower for any opponent to handle as they moonwalked past the NCAA Tournament competition in 2023.

Since then, Clingan became a starter, Alleyne transferred, and Calcaterra matriculated to the NBA G League.
